Lloydminster RCMP say that a standoff with an armed woman ended without injury.
On the evening of Wednesday April 8, police were notified that a resident with an outstanding warrant lived on the 5000 block of 56B street.
When officers attended the home, they found the 25-year-old woman barricaded inside a bedroom. She said that she had a gun, and threatened to shoot anyone who entered. Police then confirmed that there was a shotgun inside, along with several syringes and methamphetamine.
Officers negotiated with her for two and a half hours, before negotiations trailed off and they forced their way into the roome.
The woman was arrested, and now now faces seven new charges, in addition to the two outstanding warrants.
