Battlefords RCMP arrest 17-year-old suspect in connection with armed robbery

Battlefords RCMP have arrested one man who they say may be connected to an armed robbery in North Battleford.

Early Wednesday morning police responded to a call about an armed robbery at a home in the 1300 block on 97th Avenue. The suspect allegedly forced someone in the home to go to a bank downtown to take out money.

The suspect was found and taken into custody without incident, and the victim was unhurt. RCMP say they have arrested a 17-year-old man they believe may be connected to the incident, and he will remain in custody pending a court appearance.

Battlefords RCMP say they will release more information after the investigation has been completed, and urge anyone with information or surveillance footage to contact them or CrimeStoppers.
