UPDATE, 2:50 PM: The Lloydminster RCMP will be on site during school dismissal today, which will continue as normal. Unless advised otherwise, classes will resume Monday, and the RCMP will continue to support safety at the school.
UPDATE, 1:47 PM: Reports that Rendell Park School is under a hold and secure as well are not accurate. Director of Education for LPSD Todd Robinson says students were brought inside due to the two schools being close together, but Rendell Park School is not under a hold and secure.Â

Lloydminster RCMP is investigating after Bishop Lloyd Middle School was put in a hold and secure situation Friday.
The RCMP put the school in hold and secure status after administration received reports of a threat made against the school. Police were on site for most of the day directing on next steps.
The RCMP says unless directed otherwise classes will resume Monday and they will continue to support safety at the school
