Saskatchewan crown land fire ban lifted

The Saskatchewan Government has lifted its fire ban on crown land, including in the Lloydminster area.

The ban was originally put in place because of extreme heat and dryness and applied to all areas south of the Churchill River, including provincial parks. There are now no active provincial fire bans in Saskatchewan, however, some regions and provincial parks can still keep a ban on open fires. A list can be found on Tourism Saskatchewan’s website.

Some regional bans including North Battleford, Vermilion River County, the RM’s of Britannia, Wilton and Frenchman Butte are still in effect.
