Lloydminster man pleads guilty in crash that killed three people

The Canadian Press has reported that Brandon Stucka, the man accused of killing three Edmonton women in a 2017 car crash has pleaded guilty.

RCMP say the crash happened on Highway 16 after a stolen truck crashed into the van carrying Eva Tumbay, Jeannette Wright, and Glorious David. A fourth woman, Janet Wright Gaye, was also treated for serious injuries.

At a Friday hearing at the North Battleford Court of Queens Bench,  Stucka pled guilty to three counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count causing injury, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and possession of property obtained by crime among other charges.

Stucka will appear in court again June 6th, where the agreed statement of facts will be presented and a sentence will be determined.
