Kindersley RCMP investigating bomb threat to schools

Kindersley RCMP are investigating a bomb threat.

On the morning of Tuesday, April 14, the RCMP received a report of a bomb in a Kindersley school.

The caller did not specify which school the bomb was in, leading to an evacuation of all schools in the Kindersley area, including Great Plains College. In total 917 schoolchildren were moved to new locations, and the schools made arrangements with the parents to pick them up.

The RCMP say that they completed a walk-through of all the schools, and have not located anything suspicious.

The Sun West School Division says that the children will be returning to school Wednesday, April 15, and will have access to counselling as needed.

The investigation is ongoing.
