A Lloydminster man will be in Sao Paolo, Brazil for the 2015 Worldskills Competition.
The Worldskills is a competition held every two years, testing competitors under the age of 23 from across the globe on their specific field.
Lloydminster’s Carson Gustafson is representing Team Canada in the Mechanical Engineering Design – CAD category. He started competing at provincial-level competitions while attending Lloydminster Comprehensive High School. He says he was offered  his current job as Pipe Designer and funding for college education at Integra Engineering after winning the competition in Grade 12.
The competitions start August 11th. Gustafson has taken his former LCHS teacher, Don Yusep, as his coach in preparation for the competition, and he says he feels confident he will be able to win.
