Colonial Days concert series selected

Every summer Lloydminster and area residents come to the Exhibition Grounds for the City’s annual Colonial Days. Marketing Manager Jackie Tomayer says the event brings the community together in one place.

“We bring in 40,000 plus people into the area over those four days so it’s a good economic impact on Lloydminster, so restaurants, hotels that sort of thing benefit.”

This year the event will have their usual favourites including, the kid zone, the trade show and the monster trucks. The exhibition has already released its concert series for this year that will include four artists.

“We have four different concerts going on, one each night. On Wednesday, we have Snake Oil, on Thursday we have Hunter Brothers, on Friday is Trooper and on Saturday is George Canyon,” says Tomayer.

As per usual, Colonial Days will kick things off with the parade running through downtown. The event will start on July 11 to the 14. Tickets are $15 each for adults and children 12 and under are free.
