Bobcats coach stays on, others move on

After a great hockey season, the Lloydminster Bobcats will be losing some key players and an assistant coach and team trainer. Bobcats Coach Garry Van Hereweghe announced he will stay on with the team and fulfill his two year contract. Van Hereweghe says he is excited to stay in Lloyd and build on the success the Bobcats had this season. But Van Hereweghe says Assistant Coach Kyle Tapp is moving on to pursue other opportunities. Trainer Kim Fleming is also departing the Bobcats family, along with four players. Captain Grant Baker, Tanner Dunkle, Austin MacDonald and Braden Crone are all moving on. The Bobcats went from the bottom position last year to third spot from the top this season, losing to Fort McMurray in game 7 of the playoffs.
