After the release of a report showing Alberta with the worst wait times in the country for lung cancer treatment, Wildrose Health Critic Heather Forsythe is calling on Health Minister Fred Horne to investigate the issue. Forsythe says the fact that patients in Alberta wait 70% longer for treatment than the Canadian average and almost twice as long as patients in neighbouring BC, is completely unacceptable. Forsythe says it’s even more disturbing that it’s unknown why the delays in treatment are happening.
