Red Deer drug bust leads to arrests in Lloydminster

A major drug bust near Red Deer has led to three arrests in Lloydminster.

On Wednesday, the RCMP searched a rural property near Markerville, and found large amounts of steroids, cocaine, methamphetamine, GHB, firearms, explosives, and stolen vehicles.

At the same time, Lloydminster RCMP searched a home in Lloydminster and Kitscoty in relation to the case in Red Deer. The RCMP found electronic devices in the Lloydminster home connected to the Markerville property which will be used as evidence in the Markerville drug trafficking case. They also found a sawed-off shotgun and a large amount of methamphetamine. No seizures were made at the home in Kitscoty.

Two men and a woman have been arrested, and now face drug and weapons charges. The investigation is ongoing.
