Lloydminster thunderstorm warning ends; power lines currently being repaired

Environment Canada has ended the Thunderstorm warning for Lloydminster and surrounding areas.

According to sources the storm developed in east-central Alberta and continued toward Saskatchewan this evening. Funnel clouds were also spotted in Mannville, Alta. The storm has caused power outages in the Lloydminster area.

ATCO Electric stated a call came in at 8:45 of power outages on the northern part of Lloydminster. The cause of the the power outages were due to power line damage. Estimated time for the repair is unknown but is currently in process.
