Property taxes sent out by City

Lloydminster has sent out its property tax notices for 2018.

On May 18, the notices were sent out to all taxable properties in the City. Property taxes are calculated by the property’s assessed value and the mill rate tax that saw an increase of 11.5 per cent this year.

In order to avoid any penalties payment for taxes are due on June 30. Residents can make payments through cash, cheque and debit card at City Hall. Property owners can also make payments at their bank, however not with credit card.

Penalties will be calculated at a rate of five per cent on arrears and one per cent per month on current year taxes. If property owners have not received their notice contact the City’s Tax Department at 780 875 6184 ext. 2124.
