Construction in the City continues

The City continues to improve streets as part of their 2018 Street Improvement Project.

Currently, construction is taking place in downtown Lloydminster for water and sewer main work, as well as on College Drive for road work repairs.

During the summer major work will take place at the Lloydminster airport taxiways, the intersection of 62 Avenue and 44 street, as well as the intersection of 36 Street and 47 Avenue.

The City says they don’t know the exact start dates of the projects until about two weeks before the project is set to start, which is when they inform residents and businesses affected for the second time. The first communication with residents happens a few months in advance.

Other projects include repairing existing sidewalks on 54 Avenue from 45 Street to 48 Street, 39 Street from 51 Avenue to 52 Avenue and 34 Street from 51 Avenue to 51A Avenue. Construction will also be taking place to improve the asphalt trails around the City.
