Four Lloydminster residents arrested for shoplifting

Four Lloydminster residents have been arrested after a shop-lifting spree in North Battleford. On the morning of Monday, April 20, the RCMP received reports of a group of people who had shoplifted items from two businesses, before getting into an argument with an employee.

Police say their investigation reveals that the suspects came to the city with the intention to steal from multiple businesses. The police stopped their vehicle on Highway 4 – 5 kilometers north of the city – and arrested all four occupants. Numerous stolen items were found in the car at the time of the arrest.

Two men and  two women from Lloydminster – all in their 20s- now face multiple charges, including theft, dangerous driving, and cocaine trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing.
