More measles cases in Lloydminster

More confirmed cases of measles in Lloydminster. Three more cases have been reported, in addition to the one confirmed case announced last week, bringing the total to four cases of unimmunized children and youth under the age of 16. The list of public locations where people may have been exposed to measles last week has expanded. Anyone who who visited these locations in LLoydminster, may have been exposed to the virus: Tim Horton’s, Highway 17 South on April 23rd from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm,  Real Canadian Superstore on April 23 from 11am – 1:30 pm, Safeway, April 23rd from 2 – 5pm and Giant Tiger,  April 23rd from 3 – 5:30 pm. Also locations in St. Walburg have also been exposed.St. Walburg School, April 17th all day, and the St. Walburg Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption, Easter Sunday April 20 11 am – 3 pm. Measles symptom include high fever, cough and runny nose, followed by a rash. Measles is a highly infectious and potentially serious disease that is easily transmitted through the air.
