Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Lloydminster, Wainwright, Vermilion and Provost.
Current conditions are favourable to develop into severe thunderstorms this afternoon. The thunderstorms will continue to the east and persist into the evening. The storms are capable of producing strong winds that could damage trees and overturn large vehicles.
