RCMP retrieves stolen vehicles from Lloydminster and Vermilion

The Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit have arrested two and recovered three stolen vehicles, two of which are from Lloydminster and Vermilion.

On July 12th, Vermilion RCMP, the Rural Crime Reduction Unit and Police Dog Service joined forces to recover a stolen truck and licence plate from Vermilion and a stolen SUV from Lloydminster.

During these ongoing investigations, a wanted male was also found and arrested after he ran away from a residence in Vermilion. The 20-year-old male was given four charges including Possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime. He appeared in Vermilion Provincial Court on July 16th.

The EADRCRU located and arrested a man from St.Paul on July 12th who had several outstanding warrants against him. The 39-year-old male was released and will appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on July 19th.

The RCMP’s Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit  main cause is to recognize hotspots for crime and to target repeat offenders.
