UPDATE: A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued by Environment Canada.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Lloydminster and surrounding areas.
Temperatures are expected to reach 29 degrees or above during the day and a minimum of 14 degrees overnight. Cooler temperatures are expected for Tuesday as a low-pressure system moves across Alberta. In parts of southeastern Alberta, hot temperatures will return for Wednesday and Thursday.
