Lloydminster RCMP arrest five teens over break and enter

Lloydminster RCMP have arrested five teens they say are responsible for a break and enter spree.
Early in the morning of Thursday, May 21, the RCMP received multiple reports of break and enter. While responding to one of them, they saw a vehicle fleeing the scene.
The police chased the vehicle and pulled it over, and the driver fled on foot. The police found four youth and two adults inside the vehicle, and later apprehended the driver at his home.
A search of the home turned up a stolen rifle and other evidence for break-and-enter charges. The vehicle was also determined to have been stolen.
The driver, a 15 year old male from Lloydminster, is facing 24 charges including: break and enter, possession of stolen property, theft over $5000, possession of break in instruments, driving offences, and five firearms offences.
A 14 year old male from Onion lake, a 14 year old female from Fort MacLeod, a 14 year old male from Kehewin Cree Nation, and an 18 year old male from Onion Lake are all facing multiple charges including, break and enter, and possession of stolen property.
“This is yet another example of how the public is the eyes and ears for the police,” said Constable Grant Kirzinger. “Police were able to respond quickly which was vital to the success of this investigation.”
