Relay for Life set to go on Friday

Bud Miller Park will play host to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life fundraiser on Friday, May 29.
The walk will start at 7 pm, and last for 12 hours to raise money for cancer research. Relay for Life Specialist Melissa Gerwing says the walk is held overnight to symbolize the stages of the journey cancer patients go through.
The walk is looking for teams of walkers to walk in shifts throughout the night, while raising pledges for cancer research in Canada.
The walk is still looking for walkers, volunteers, and donations to the silent auction. To help out, contact Melissa Gerwing at (306) 244-2245, [email protected], or go to Relayforlife.ca/sk.
