Maidstone RCMP recover three stolen vehicles

Three vehicles have been recovered by Maidstone RCMP with the help of social media.

On Wednesday, police received a tip of a stolen Jeep from Lloydminster travelling down Highway 16. Someone travelling down the same highway recognized the jeep from a social media post and reported it to the police.

RCMP found the Jeep and arrested the two people inside. One of the individuals was under 18 and the second was an 18-year old from Loon Lake who has been charged with four Criminal Code offences.

On the same day, another vehicle was reported stolen north of Lloydminster and recovered shortly after south of the city with the help of the public. On Monday, another vehicle was reported stolen from Paynton, SK and recovered the same day in North Battleford with the help of social media.

Both incidents are still under investigation.
