Feast on the Farm raises over $18,000

The success of the third annual Feast on the Farm aims to help the future of lakeland students. All proceeds raised for the event will go towards leadership programs at Lakeland College.

On August 18, more than 180 people took part in a night of food and entertainment at the Research Centre on the Vermilion campus. The event was emceed by business administration accounting major Matt Peck and agri business class of 2018 Allivia Sauer. Peck says he is happy to share his experience at Lakeland hoping to inspire others.

“Lakeland cares about its students, empowers them and gives them opportunities to achieve their goals. With all of my opportunities and experiences, I have grown and have been able to share my Lakeland journey.”

Lakeland College serves over 7,000 students a year at campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster. President and CEO of Lakeland College Dr. Alice Wainwright-stewart says the backing of the community has helped future and present leaders at Lakeland with over $18,000 raised.

“Thank you to our guests and sponsors for their generous support and for making our third annual Feast on the Farm a success. Our students will continue to take the lead and create their own projects, enterprises and events to bring their education to life.”
