Devin Green commits to Lakehead University

The Lloydminster Bobcats have announced that graduating goaltender Devin Green has committed to Lakehead University, in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Green came to the Bobcats in 2012 as an 18-year-old, and spent the past three seasons with the team. Last year, he played in 49 games, finishing with a record of 25-17-7, and 10 career shutouts, a Bobcats record. He was also selected team MVP.

“After a visit to Thunder Bay and talking with the coaches about the team and the school I knew Lakehead was where I wanted to further my athletic and academic endeavors,” said Green. “I am looking forward to playing for the Thunderwolves and rejoining a few of my former teammates in Linden Springer, Tyler Kunz, and Austin McDonald.”

Green joins a strong program at Lakehead, which has made the playoffs every year since joining the league in 2001, and made three trips to the University Cup championship, in 2006, 2009 and 2010.
