City of Lloydminster unveils Downtown Champion campaign

The City of Lloydminster has announced the Downtown Champion campaign.
The campaign will be unveiled on Saturday, June 13, at Streetfest, and asks people to post photos of the downtown core to Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #DTlloyd, to increase the area’s profile in the community.
“Streetscapes Destination Downtown is thrilled to support the Downtown Revitalization Project,” said Dawn Hames, the Board Chair of Streetscapes Destination Downtown. “Together we take pride in our downtown, appreciating all that is here and envisioning for the future. Our goal is creating an increasingly vibrant hub that meets our community’s needs and expresses who we are in this unique border city. This campaign is a great tool to collect that information from the public, while encouraging them to experience all the downtown has to offer.”
Each week, a random winner will be drawn from social media posts and postcards dropped off at City Hall for a $100 gift card. To find out more about the campaign, follow @downtownlloyd on twitter, @downtownlloydminster on Instagram, or go to downtownlloydminster.com.
