Scotibank holds bake sale to help the Christmas Wish

Scotiabank have decided their first contribution to The Goats Christmas Wish will be festive. Scotia will be holding a Halloween bake sale on October 26th with all proceeds going towards the charity.

The Goats Christmas Wish aids families that are facing illness, death and financial troubles during the holiday season. Customer Experience Lead Jessaca Laboret says the idea for a Halloween bake sale came after discussions of how to throw a fun event for a good cause.

“We would love to raise as much as possible for this amazing charity. We have a goal of $5,000 so that Scotiabank will match that.”

The event will be selling baked goods with all proceeds going to The Goats Christmas Wish. There will also be Halloween goodie bags for everyone that walks through the door of Scotiabank, and The Goat will be live on location all day talking about the event.

Anyone who wants to donate money or baked goods towards the event can contact Jessaca Laboret by email at [email protected], by texting 306-307-7701 or phoning her office  780.871.5015 ext.4400.  Laboret says that there will be more fundraisers to help The Wish, but they’re not sure what will be next.

“Christmas is always a tough time a year for a lot of families and anytime we can do to support is worth doing.”
