A truck driver had to be taken to hospital after crashing into a power pole in Lloydminster. Police say that yesterday afternoon they received several calls of a semi that had driven off the road, though a power pole, and collied with a large piece of equipment near Highway 17 and 67th Street. That portion of road was temporarily closed, but has since been reopened. Atco Electric had to be called out to shut the power down on that line, and once it was safe, emergency crews removed the driver from the vehicle and transported him to hospital. It’s believed the driver suffered a medical incident just before driving off the road.
