An 89-year-old man has died after a collision on Highway 14 and a service road in Unity on Friday.

RCMP say the initial investigation suggests that the 89-year-old driver and only person in a Dodge Caravan crossed over the highway into the path of an eastbound Ford Flex.

The driver of the Caravan was taken to the Unity Health Centre where he was later died. The 63-year-old driver of the Ford Flex was treated and released from the health centre.
