RCMP arrest two involved in multi-provincial crime spree

Two males have been arrested after a crime spree that covered Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta

After ongoing help from the public and collaboration between several RCMP Detachments and units, 24-year-old Justin Lang from Nova Scotia was arrested on September 24th. He allegedly fled from RCMP in several stolen vehicles in Elk Point and St.Paul. The suspect was finally tracked down by officers in Lloydminster.

Further investigation and information sharing by the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit, St.Paul Forensics and Edmonton Police Services revealed the man had multiple files in different provinces.

Police discovered that Lang and 19-year-old Kyle Lang had also stolen a truck in Ontario. The two fled from police in Ontario and Manitoba before arriving in Alberta. Police say they stole several vehicles stolen. The Lang’s were also involved in break-ins in Whitney Lake and Edmonton.

Kyle Lang was arrested on September 26 by Saskatchewan RCMP. He is currently in custody in Saskatoon.

Justin Lang is facing 6 charges which include assaulting a peace officer and flight from police. He is currently awaiting several court dates in multiple jurisdictions.

Police from different provinces are working together to lay additional charges after evidence gathered by EADRCRU.
