Lloydminster man charged with second degree murder

RCMP have charged a 24-year-old man with second-degree murder, marking Lloydminster’s second homicide of the year.

Police say they responded to report of a dead body outside of a 45th street apartment on October 29. The victim was identified as 31-year-old Mitchell Daniels. RCMP Major Crime Unit North took control of the investigation after the male was found with suspicious injuries.

After an autopsy in Edmonton on October 30, coroners determined the death as a homicide. RCMP has charged Cameron Carter-Green with the murder. The man is in custody and will appear in court on November 6.

Police are not seeking anyone else in the investigation. Since the matter is now before the courts, RCMP say they will not provide any more additional information
