Adopt-a-School raises close to $4,000 for Hillmond Central

Kids at Hillmond Central School will see new books due to money raised through Indigo’s Adopt-a-School program. Close to $4,000 was raised for Hillmond to spend on educational resources.

Local support was shown through donations at Coles in Lloyd Mall and online donations. Stories were submitted by supporters on the Adopt-a-School website about literacy that people could “heart” in order for thier local school to win an additional $2,500. Hillmond was a runner-up winning a $500 Indigo eGiftcards for new library resources. The school will also receive 30 per cent off books when using program donations.

The program raised a total $1.1 million for 600 different high-needs elementary schools across Canada.
