Public inquest opened into death of Brydon Whitstone

An investigation has been opened in connection to the death of 22-year-old Brydon Whitstone.

Whitstone was shot during an altercation with Battlefords RCMP in October 2017.  The investigation, which will be overseen by coroner Robert Kennedy, will establish who died, when and where that person died and the medical cause and manner of death. After the investigation, the coroner could make recommendations as to prevent similar incidents.

The public inquest will take place from December 3-7, 2018, at Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford, Saskatchewan. The first day will start at 10 A.M.
