Lloydminster High School brings home provincial title

Lloydminster football fans may be excited this weekend and it’s not because of the Grey Cup. The Lloydminster Comprehensive High School Barons have ended a 23-year-old Provincial Championship drought.

On Saturday, the Barons played against the Holy Trinity Knights in Tier II provincial football in Fort Mcmurray. The Barons came away with a 22-7 victory and ended up staring at a title that they haven’t seen since 1994.  The team has seen some dark days with 2010 being the last time they won a Wheatland Football League championship. Jump to 2018 and the Barons are undefeated in the regular season and currently WFL champions and provincial champions.

In the Tier III finals, the Holy Rosary Raiders faced off against defending champs the Cochrane Cobras ending in a loss, 25-8.

It's Tre "the Giant Employee", doing that evenings/weekends on 106.1 The Goat. I am bringing my overall weirdness to the earholes of Lloydminster. I know this guy other guy named Tre Lopushinsky who does news. He's a real professional, informing Lloydminster on what's going on.
