Priority 2 roads nearly cleared of snow

The City of Lloydminster says it has almost finished clearing Priority 2 routes of snow. Still unfinished areas include south of 25 street, between 50 avenue and 59 avenue and from 44 street to 36.

In a Facebook post, the City says it will focus on school zones that still need clearing over the next few days. Once Priority 2 roads are finished, the city will return to clearing Priority 1 routes.

Priority 1 routes are to be cleared within two days of a snowfall. Priority 2 routes are cleared within three days of snowfall, while downtown and residential areas are cleared as required.

The city thanks residents for their patience with the process of snow clearing, and encourages all residents to “drive for the conditions and be considerate of pedestrians and fellow motorists.”
