City Hall launches Street Improvement Program

The city of Lloydminster has launched its 2015 Street Improvement Program.
The project started on Friday, July 24, and is slated to last until the end of the construction season.
Many projects will be worked on throughout the campaign, including surface work at the intersection of 50 Street and 51 Avenue, trail construction south of College Park School, and grading the parking lot of Fire Hall No. 1.
The city says that impacted residents will be notified of work in their neighbourhood, and asks all motorists to obey posted signage.
The program was approved by city council on Monday, May 25, and will cost the city around $2.1 million.
