Two arrested after police chase stolen truck

Last Thursday, around 9:50 a.m. local time, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol tried to stop a stolen 2013 white Dodge pickup truck for excessive speed.
The truck fled to a rural area north of Waseca, was located and became stuck in a wooded area behind a residence.
After a short pursuit on foot a man and woman were apprehended by two members of the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol.
Maidstone RCMP assisted with the investigation and have charged 28-year-old Dale Starchief with possession of stolen property over $5000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, flight from police, obstruction and resisting arrest.
Starchief remains in custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial court on February 7th for a show cause hearing.
Twenty year old Misty Moosomin has been charged with criminal offences including possession of stolen property over $5000, and flight from police.  Moosomin remains in custody and will be appearing on January 17 in Lloydminster Provincial court for a show cause hearing.
