The RCMP are investigating a crash in Kindersley that left one person dead.

Early in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 11, a flatbed semi was travelling westbound when it collided head-on with a pickup truck. The collision started a fire between the two vehicles, which the Kindersley Fire Department extinguished.

The driver of the semi was uninjured, but the driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver is believed to be male, but a definite identification has not yet been made. The RCMP are waiting on the Office of the Chief Coroner to identify the individual.

A Kindersley collision analyst, and an RCMP collision reconstructionist from Saskatoon continue to investigate the accident.
