Battlefords RCMP say they have stopped a kidnapping.
In the afternoon of Thursday, August 13, the police receivedĀ a call from the Sweetgrass First Nation, saying three children, an 8-year-old girl, an 11-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy had been abducted by a male who was known to them.Ā He left the area in an SUV.
An investigation led Battlefords and Cut Knife RCMP to a residence on Little Pine First Nation. The man was arrested later that afternoon, andĀ four children were found, including the three that were abducted.
The RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
