City Hall is calling on local artists to step forward for their Tunes on the Town project.
The city recently received two pianos, donated by local residents. The project will see the pianos painted, and moved around downtown to coincide with the Downtown Revitalization discussions.
“Tunes on the Town is a fun and creative way to enhance culture and vitality in our downtown core,” said Mayor Rob Saunders. “These pianos will become inspiring, interactive works of art for everyone to enjoy. We want to see the community coming together to celebrate music, the arts and our downtown.”
Artists interested in contributing to the project should email Program co-ordinator Sarah Hockridge at [email protected]. before Monday, August 31. An online poll to pick the winning artists will be held on Wednesday, September 26.
