Reeves College celebrates a new location while welcoming potential students

Reeves College celebrates its grand opening while coinciding with an open house. On Boxing Day, the school moved locations from an office space near 44 st in the Resource Centre to the second level of the Servus Atrium Centre.

The Post-secondary introduced possible future students to the programs they have to offer. On Friday, students of the school gathered around staff to join Mayor Gerald Aalbers in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event marked the official opening of the new location.

Campus Director Sara Mackenzie says the student’s environment was in mind when deciding to move locations.

“We wanted a more professional location and something a little cozier for the students. We really wanted to keep our student’s needs in mind.”

The school currently has 40 students enrolled in four different programs they have to offer including Medical Office Administration and Addictions and Community Services. The maximum intake within the school is 70 students.

“We decided to have [the two events] at the same time so we could open the campus to the public so more people would be here for the grand opening. We thought it would be nice to have campus tours; have a two in one.”

Those looking for post-secondary opportunities with Reeves College can find more details on their website.

“The students are very excited to be a part of [the grand opening]. It’s definitely something new, exciting and fresh.”
