The city has closed 70th Avenue south of Highway 16 for road repairs.
City Hall says they are rehabilitating the road as part of the 2015 Street Improvement Program. Work planned for the street includes roadway excavation, pavement grinding, concrete repairs, patching repairs, repaving, line painting, and asphalt trail construction.
The city says the road will close Monday, August 24, and will remain closed until Friday, August 28. Motorists are asked to budget extra travel time, and use alternate routes.
