Weapons,drugs found during search of vehicle linked to A.T.V. theft: Elk Point RCMP

Elk Point RCMP arrest six after searching a vehicle linked to a Frog Lake First Nations A.T.V. theft.

On Friday, Police found the truck with the ATV a few moments after the the theft was reported. A tire deflation device was used in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The truck came to a stop shortly after at a Fishing Lake Metis Settlement home.

While searching the vehicle, Officers found 600 rounds of ammunition, drugs, counterfeit money, a fake drivers license and several weapons including a machete. RCMP says the truck used in the theft was reported stolen in Cold Lake in January.

25-year-old Matthew Francois, 23-year-old Cody Janvier-Charland, 26-year-old Levi Cardinal, 20-year-old Sara Mcgillis, 24-year-old Kayla Desjarlais and 24-year-old Janelle Smith have received a total of 51 charges.
