Battlefords RCMP investigate fatal car rollover

Battlefords RCMP are investigating a car rollover that left one person dead.

In the evening of Monday, August 31, the RCMP received a report of a minivan rollover on a main grid road on Red Pheasant First Nation.

The police attended, and found the driver, a 30-year-old woman from Mosquito First Nation, dead on the scene. Witnesses told the police that a passenger had also been in the car, but left prior to police arrival. The police later located the 30-year-old man from Red Pheasant First Nation, in a home on the reserve.

The RCMP have called in a collision reconstructionist from Prince Albert, and they say the investigation is ongoing.
