Two men arrested for mugging

Two men have been arrested after a violent robbery.

The Meridian Booster reports that early in the afternoon of Thursday, September 3, the RCMP got a call from a person who said his cell phone had been stolen by two men along 25 Street on the east side of the city.

The police used dog services to track the men, and after a short pursuit, arrested them near a home in the 2900 block of 49 Avenue. A bystander was injured in the arrest, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two suspects from North Battleford are now in custody.
