Loon Lake RCMP investigate armed robbery

Loon Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery.

In the evening of Tuesday, September 1, the police received a call from a business that had been robbed on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

Two men wearing dark clothing and skeleton masks, one armed with a handgun, entered the business and demanded cash. The men took the money and left, going to the back of the business, where it was believed a third man was waiting in an unknown vehicle. The RCMP say the vehicle drove off in an unknown direction. One employee was in the business at the time, but was not injured.

The two suspects are decribed as Aboriginal, 6′ tall, with a thin build. They wore dark clothing with hoods, and had their faces covered.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Loon Lake RCMP detachment at (306) 837-2440 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
