Disappearance of Tiki Laverdiere considered suspicious: Battleford RCMP

Battleford RCMP considers the disappearance of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere suspicious. Police say the 25-year-old has not been in touch with friends or family for two weeks, which is unusual for her.

Laverdiere was in the North Battleford and Thunderchild First Nation area for a funeral on April 27th expressing the desire to return to Edmonton, according to RCMP. Laverdiere was last seen in North Battleford on May 1, which was also the last time she had contacted her family.

The investigation is trying to figure out if Laverdiere had left the North Battleford as she had no vehicle or way to leave the area. Investigators believe she may have hitchhiked to Edmonton and are concerned for her well-being.

Laverdiere is described as being 5’4″ tall and approximately 140lbs. She has burgundy hair and typically wears grey contact lenses. She has small tattoos on her neck with piercings on her eyebrow and nose. Police say she may have been carrying a Louis Vuitton handbag and had been seen wearing bright white shoes and a black jacket/pants with unique red and white stripes at the time of her disappearance.

Police are asking for information from anyone that has come in contact with  Laverdiere since May 1 or seen a young woman walking along Highway 16. Residents are all asked to check their properties for a sign of Laverdiere or anything unusual.

Information can be given to Battlefords RCMP at 306-446-1720 or 306-310-RCMP or CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
