Oyen RCMP have arrested a mother and daughter after animal cruelty allegations.
On Thursday, September 3, the RCMP arrest the two women, after a search at a rural property south of Cereal, Alberta, turned up 11 horses, 25 dogs, and 17 birds that had been neglected. The two women had been previously charged with animal cruelty in British Columbia, and had been released on conditions.
The women face new charges of failure to comply with conditions, cruelty to animals, willful neglect of animals, and possession of stolen property. They will appear in court in Hanna, on Wednesday, October 28.
The animals were seen to by a vet, and were relocated by the Alberta SPCA.
