North Battleford RCMP investigate shooting

North Battleford RCMP are investigating a shooting near a high school.

In the morning, of Friday, September 11, the RCMP received a report of multiple shots being fired on Douglas Avenue near St. Laurent Drive. Nobody was injured in the shooting, but some property was damaged. The suspect was seen running away with the gun, and the police used Dog Services but were unable to find him.

The shooting was a few blocks from the North Battleford Comprehensive High School, which conducted a “secure and hold” action until the all-clear was given. The RCMP says the suspect is at large, and they continue to investigate.
