Downtown Lloydminster will bustle with excitement this month. The tenth annual Downtown Streetfest is returning for some downtown fun on Saturday, June 22.
Streetfest, presented by Century 21 Drive, kicks off Saturday morning at the Olive Tree’s Community Kitchen where festival revellers can enjoy a pancake breakfast presented by the Lloydminster Fire Fighter’s Association. Breakfast is from 8 to 10 a.m. and donations are accepted. Cindy Rekimowich, the city’s manager for Programming and Events, looks forward to the city’s decennial festival.
“It’s always exciting when we, as residents, have an opportunity to come together in celebration of the many offerings of Lloydminster and the downtown core,” said Rekimowich.
The one-day event features a variety of vendors, including the Lloydminster Outdoors Farmers Market and Arts Without Borders among others. A sports zone and kids’ zone, along with a mascot dance-off and talent show will take place throughout the day. For more information, the city recommends visiting www.lloydminster.ca/streetfest.
