Cold Lake RCMP arrest man after four car crash

A man has been arrested after a four car collision outside of Cold Lake.

In the afternoon of Tuesday, September 15, a man was driving northbound on highway 28 when he sideswiped a truck, then went into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a van, and causing a fourth car to rear-end the van. The driver of the northbound car was arrested. 30-year-old Vitaliy Bervald of Cold Lake faces charges of dangerous driving, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and possession of marijuana. He will appear in court on Wednesday, October 28.

The female driver of the van was taken to the hospital with injuries. All other motorists involved were treated at the scene, and released.
